Our Network for Educators
One day as I was scrolling down my Facebook feed, I stumbled across an announcement on ELT Algeria calling for women educators to apply for the online EVE programme in order to develop their skills and become highly proficient conference speakers. Today, I am glad for being one of those women who answered the call and got selected.
The EVE programme is a well-sctructurred extensive mentoring programme that aims at empowering women educators and equipping them with the necessary practical skills to fulfill their roles as conference speakers in the ELT field.
My participation in the EVE programme was extremely rewarding as I had the opportunity to meet women educators from all over my country, Algeria, and learn from some highly-qualified international mentors.
What I enjoyed the most about this programme is the interactive sessions with my mentor, Charlotte Giller, the hands-on activities and the constructive feedback that I kept on receiving from everyone. Thanks to all that, I ended up building my confidence by learning how to set achievable goals, manage my conference time and handle technical issues when they occur.
All in all, I would like to say that my participation in this programme was worthwhile and that I will forever be grateful for my fellow women educators, the EVE mentors and ELT Algeria Network.
